From Debutante Ball to Purity Ceremony in Celebration of Christ
In Mexican and European cultures, it's customary for young girls to have a sort of debutante ball, also called coming-out-party.
However, we've turned this tradition into a purity ceremony, where the focus is on dedicating their lives to Christ. These young girls take charge of their decisions, and we rejoice in the life they have in Christ. This month, we celebrated Dafine, who is the granddaughter of Juanita and Fidel, devoted servants of the Lord. It was a truly beautiful celebration, demonstrating how traditions can be a means of glorifying Jesus.
En las culturas mexicana y europea, es costumbre que las jóvenes tengan una especie de baile de presentación. Sin embargo, hemos transformado esta tradición en una ceremonia de pureza, donde el enfoque está en dedicar sus vidas a Cristo. Estas jóvenes toman el control de sus decisiones, y nos regocijamos en la vida que tienen en Cristo. Este mes, celebramos a Dafine, quien es la nieta de Juanita y Fidel, devotos siervos del Señor. Fue una celebración verdaderamente hermosa, demostrando cómo las tradiciones pueden ser un medio para glorificar a Jesús.
